Navratri 2020 - Navratri is celebrated in honor of Goddess Durga for nine consecutive days in India. Devotees keep rigorous fasts during these 'nine nights' festival and the entire worship center on the 3 avatars of Goddess Shakti - Durga (the warrior Goddess), Lakshmi (the Goddess of wealth), and Saraswati (the Goddess of knowledge). The festival dedicated to Goddess Shakti and is celebrated twice a year - 'Chaitra' or 'Vasant Navratri' (March-April), and 'Sharad Navratri' (September-October). Navratri 2020 Dates

Navratri is one of the most popular and sacred Hindu festival celebrated all over the world. Celebrations across India may vary depending on rituals and customs; however the spirit of Navratri signifies Triumph of Good over Evil. All Nine forms of Maa Durga are worshipped over a period of Nine days. Rama Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri (March-April) and Sharad Navratri culminates in Durga Puja and Dusshrea. Goddess Durga Nine forms or Avatars are worshipped on each day of Navratri festival. Navratri dates for 2020 are starting from 29 September and ending on 7 October.
