Fiji officially the Republic of Fiji, is an island nation in the South Pacific Ocean. The country located in Melanesia, consists of Melanesians (54.3%), Indo-Fijians (38.1%), and Rotuman (1.2%). Culture of Fiji believes in living in community, peace and harmony.

Hinduism as a religion has a decent followers in Fiji. Tracing their history and origin, dates back to 1879, when they started arriving in Fiji. Hindus living here are popularly known as Fijian Hindus. They celebrate popular Hindu festivals like Rama Navami, Holi and Diwali as per traditional Hindu Mythology. Diwali (Deepavali) is celebrated on a grand scale and is a public holiday in Fiji.
